There were two important components to this project; developing an online marketing plan and designing/building a website that reflected the elegance, sohpistication, and quality of the property and surrounding environment.
Working closely with Columbia Hospitality, we first developed a marketing plan for the online segment that establish feeder markets and appropriate online tactics. We researched keywords in multiple European countries, evaulated the competitive set, and developed a list of website criteria needed for The Oitavos to compete favorably.
We then worked with The Oitavos to create a sitemap for two websites (one in Portuguese and one in English), and submitted design mockups for approval. After receiving final design approval, we built both .com and .pt versions of website.
Our organic optimization efforts included unique title tags and meta data for all pages on both Portuguese and English websites, as each website is targeting a different audience. We provided support for set up and integration of the online booking engine, and developed HTML email templates for the property. We also implemented a multi-country PPC campaign directed at The Oitavos' primary feeder markets, and have initiated a long term contract to manage their online marketing efforts.
